| On October 26, high-achieving grade 11 and 12 students will get an opportunity to see what the University of Manitoba is all about.
Starting at 6:00pm on the second floor of University Centre, students will be able to interact with university staff and get a feel for life on campus.
Guests will discover potential scholarship opportunities, attend career planning and leadership workshops, and start networking with current university students, faculty and staff.
Set up as a tradeshow, the Evening of Excellence features many areas of the University of Manitoba:

A Financial Aid & Awards representative will provide information about award deadlines, Advanced Early Admission scholarships, Leader of Tomorrow applications and more! You’ll also have a chance to hear a student’s perspective by speaking with past award recipients.

Learn how you can become a leader on campus and in our community, as learning and personal development opportunities are no longer limited to the classrooms of our campus. The Office of Student Life connects students to leadership and service learning opportunities, creates connections to local and international communities.
Students are given the opportunity to challenge their boundaries, to engage in the community around them, to be involved in careers that they love, and to become stronger leaders in our community.

Career planning is a challenging activity for most people, especially graduating high school students. This session will present ideas and suggestions for successful career planning.
If you apply for Advanced Early Admission by December 1, 2009, you could win one of two $500 tuition awards towards your University of Manitoba 2010-2011 tuition fees!
